The Greatest Verse revealed was Ayat al-Kursi, "Allah! La ilaha illah Huwa Al Hayyul Qayyum
Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering paradise except death.
In Surat al-Baqarah there is a verse which is the best of all the verses of the Quran. It is never recited in a house but Shaytan leaves: Ayat Al-Kursi
When you lie down in your bed, recite Ayat Al-Kursi until the end of the ayah, then you will have a protector from Allah and no Shaytan (devil) will come near you until morning.

An English translation of Ayat al-Kursi:
{2:255} Allah: there is no god but Him, the Living, the Eternal One. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. His is what the heavens and the earth contain. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before and behind men. They can grasp only that part of His knowledge which He wills. His throne is as vast as the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not weary Him. He is the Exalted, the Immense One.
