At his first World Malaria Day concert, held at the World Bank , Youssou N'Dour highlighted the need for more action and more partners in the global effort to defeat malaria.
In introductory remarks, World Bank President, Robert B Zoellick and Vice President for Africa Obiageli Ezekwesili emphasized malaria's debilitating effect on the poor especially and stressed the need to quickly expand the use of effective drugs, nets, and insectides.
