This is the Adhan, it's called when the Prayer time is in. People prepare to wash themselves making Ablution (Wudu'). Then they stand in the prayer when the Iqamah is made.
Iaqamah is similar to the Adhan except you don't repeat and you add "Qad Qamatis Salatu, Qad Qamatis-Salatu" at the end meaning: Prayer started, Prayer started.
The words of the Iqamah are as follows:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.
Ash-hadu alla ilaha illa-llah.
I bear witness that no one deserves to be worshipped except Allah.
Ash-hadu anna Muhammadar-Rasulullah.
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
Hayya ^ala-s-Salah,
Come to the Prayer.
Hayya 'ala-l-falah
Hasten to real success
Qad qamati-s-Salah, Qad qamati-s-Salah.
Prayer is ready, Prayer is ready.
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.
La ilaha illa-llah
No one deserves to be worshipped except Allah.

Muslims assemble for congregational prayers in a Mosque when they hear Adhan.
A person who invites people for the prayer is called Mu'adhdhin. He loudly proclaims the words of the Adhan in Arabic, in a loud, melodious voice, pausing after each line.
The following words are added just after: Come to the success,
in the Call for al-Fajr (the morning prayer):
Prayer is better than sleep
Prayer is better than sleep
After the Call to Prayer has been made, it is customary for everyone listening to recite a du'a (supplication):
O Allah! Lord of this perfect call
and everlasting prayer, grant the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) nearness and excellence and raise
him to the rank of glory which You have promised him.
The Call to Commence Prayer (Al Iqamah):
The Iqamah the second call to prayer and is recited immediately before the beginning of the obligatory congregational prayer.
adding: The Prayer has begun, after: Come to the success.

It's from the mercy of Allah that He has legislated many deeds through which people can earn great rewards. In this leaflet, I'll mention some of the acts which Muslims should exert extra effort in performing in order to increase their account in their record of good deeds.
1- Repentance done sincerely for Allah
Messenger of Allah said "Allah will forgive the sins of anybody who repents before the sun rises from the west (i.e. a major sign for the Day of Judgment)." [Muslim]
He also said "Allah accepts the repentance of His slaves until the time of their death (i.e. when the soul is departing) [Tirmidhi]
2- Umrah during Ramadan
Messenger of Allah said "Performing Umrah during it (Ramadan) is like performing Hajj with me" [Bukhari & Muslim]
3- Recitation of the Quran
Messenger of Allah said "Recite the Quran, for it'll intercede for you (with Allah) on the day of Judgment" [Muslim]
4- Learning and teaching the Quran
Messenger of Allah said "The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it to others" [Bukhari]
5- The mention of Allah
Messenger of Allah said "Shall I not tell you about the best of your deeds, the most pure (i.e. righteous and sincere) of them to your Creator, that which will entitle you to the highest ranks, which is better for you than donating gold and silver for the sake of Allah, which is better than fighting your enemies in Jihad where you kill them or they kill you (i.e. you become martyrs)?" So he said "The mention of Allah" [Tirmidi]
6- Seeking Allah's forgiveness
Messenger of Allah said "For he who always seeks the forgiveness of Allah, Allah will relieve him from all adversities, make a way out for him from all hardships and provide him from means which he could never have expected" [Nasa'ei]
7- Performing complete and proper ablution
Messenger of Allah said "Whosoever performs a complete and proper ablution, sins will leave his body even from under his nails" [Muslim]
8- Supplicating between Adan & Iqamah
Messenger of Allah said "Supplication between the Adan & Iqamah isn't rejected" So people asked "What should we ask for?" He replied "Ask Allah for His forgiveness" [Tirmidi]
9- Performing the five daily prayers
Messenger of Allah said "There is no Muslim who, at the time of prayer, performs ablution properly, then performs the prayer in humility before Allah and perfects its pillars, except that this will expiate all his past minor sins. This is for every prayer throughout his life" [Muslim]
10- Offering Fajr and Asr prayers promptly
Messenger of Allah said "Whoever performs the two cool prayers (i.e. Asr and Fajr) on time, will enter Paradise" [Bukhari] Tags: Islam islam Muslim muslim Allah allah God | | | | Pray Before You are Prayed Upon- Abdur Raheem Green - 3284 sec Imagine your life beginning with the Adhaan in your ear, beginning your life of worship but at the end of your life your own funeral (Janazah) prayer there is no Adhaan nor Iqamah signifying the end of your life as a worshipper --but what prayers have you done to fulfil this time? Have you used your time wisely? Or is it going to become literally the case for you ending your life with others praying upon you at your own funeral!
He was born to British parents in Darussalam in Tanzania. His father Gavin Green was a colonial administrator in the still existent British Empire. He later joined Barclays Bank in 1976 and was sent to Egypt to set up Egyptian Barclays Bank. He was educated at the famous Roman Catholic Monastic School called Ampleforth College and went on to study history in the London University. However, he left his education unfinished in an effort to devote myself to Islamic works.
Currently, he is working with an Islamic media company based in England and engage himself in dawah activities including lectures on Islam in London's famous Hyde Park.
