| Euroshiur: Professor Robert Aumann - Middle Eastern Games - 1869 sec Israeli Nobel Prize laureate Prof. Robert Aumann applies Game Theory to the "Middle Eastern Games"
Professor Aumann was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany fleeing Nazi persecution in 1938. A year after receiving his Ph.D in mathematics from MIT in 1955 he joined the mathematics department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he has been since. In 1990, he was among the founders of the Center for Rationality at the Hebrew University, an interdisciplinary research center centered on Game Theory.
The author of over 80 research papers and six books and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences (USA), the British Academy and the Israel Academy of Sciences, Prof. Aumann was awarded the 2005 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for "having enhanced our understanding of conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis" Tags:EJSN Euroshiur Nobel Prize Professor Robert Aumann Game Theory Jewish Agency  |
